Intermediate snowshoes hikes in the Dolomites
On this page, we would introduce some examples of medium-difficulty snowshoe walking. Therefore itineraries suitable for people who are not scared from a 4 hours hike, even previous mountain experience is not necessary. The itineraries described here take place in the forest or on the white, mountain pastures: they can present a few steep sections; the height differences usually require a certain fitness level (fit 2). The commitment is worth by the wild Dolomite scenery and views of great effect!

The Pedraces ski-lifts take us to higher altitudes, where we soon reach the little church and the ancient monastery of Sas dela Crusc: this building, situated at 1900 metres above sea level, beneath the impressive, sunny walls of Sas dela Crusc, is a sight worth a whole trip! From here we begin a long, gently descending path that starts beyond the edge of the forest but soon enters an enchanted forest that offers, in addition to the charm of the forest, countless views both of the walls on our left and of Val Badia on our right. The route ends near the houses of San Cassiano.
