Introduction to Ski Mountaineering

If you’ve ever imagined leaving the groomed slopes to explore the snowy peaks, now is the perfect time!

Between late December and early January, we are organizing 4 single days of introduction to ski mountaineering. This is the right opportunity to get a first experience, understand the emotions that move when going up and down, and what are the essential knowledge to learn.

A day that promises fun and excitement, designed to help you discover if the world of ski mountaineering is what you are looking for.

We are here to make you live a unique adventure and to help you understand if ski mountaineering is your new passion. Prepare for a day that could change the way you see the mountains!

What to Expect:

• Unique Experience: In the Eastern Dolomites, you will have the opportunity to experience the majesty of the Dolomites in the silence and magic of winter.
• Experienced Guide: You will be accompanied by a local Alpine Guide, a true expert of the territory, a guarantee of safety and fun.
• Safety First: The course is held by a UIAGM/IFMGA certified Alpine Guide, providing insurance and safety kit (ARVA, shovel, probe).
• Intimate Group: The small group size favors personalized learning and the opportunity to share the passion for the mountains with other enthusiasts like you.
• Simple Outing: This day will be a precious opportunity for anyone who wants to introduce themselves to ski mountaineering and understand if facing a multi-day course is right for them. During the exit, the main topics that allow you to practice this sport safely will be addressed, with hints.

Details of the Introduction Course:

• Dates: 27-30 Dicember and 2-4 January
• Location: Departure from Caprile (BL) – the specific location will be chosen a few days in advance based on weather and snow conditions
• Cost: €60 per person (includes 1 day of course, ARVA kit, recovery and rescue insurance)
• Minimum Participants: 6 people
• Equipment: not included, can be rented in the area
• Language: English, Spanish, Italian

This course is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to try ski mountaineering for the first time. It is a safe and fun way to learn the basics of this exciting sport. The course is led by a experienced Alpine Guide who will teach you everything you need to know to safely explore the snowy peaks of the Dolomites.

The course includes:

• A day of instruction on the basics of ski mountaineering, including:
  • Techniques for ascending and descending slopes
  • Overview of all fundamental knowledge
  • Avalanche safety
• A guided ski mountaineering outing in the Dolomites

The course is open to anyone with good skiing skills. No previous experience with ski mountaineering is required.

The cost of the course is €60 per person. This includes:

• 1 day of instruction
• ARVA kit
• Recovery and rescue insurance

The minimum number of participants is 6. The course will be canceled if there are not enough participants.
