Guided Freeride Dolomites

Guided freeride in the Dolomites: from beginners to advanced.

If you choose a guided freeride Dolomites tour with Freewheeling Dolomites, you need to expect to go for a full day of powder runs, in search for the first track: our philosophy is to quit when the lifts close or when the quadriceps stop working! But what do we mean by freeride? Freeride means to ski further from the groomed ski runs, in search of the best pristine snow eagerly awaiting to be travelled. The freeride exploits the lifts to get as high as possible and reduce the walking or skinning time: so on these freeride pages there are a large variety of included proposals: from the side country skiing up to Dolomites off-piste with skins approaches.

Each valley in the Dolomites offers good off-piste possibilities, from easy side-country skiing to the renowned Dolomites couloirs. Contact us to find a customised freeride plan for your guided freeride day.

Here you’ll find some ideas for your customised freeride holiday: from the hotel week searching for the best powder to a freeride ski-safari with hut overnight stay.

My Husband and I had an excellent day’s off piste skiing with Fabrizio starting in Arabba last Tuesday. It was very easy to book with Fabrizio and he had excellent communication. He met us at our hotel in the morning and provided all the necessary safety equipment. He then took us on an incredible itinerary through Val Mesdi, hiking from the top of the Passo Pordoi lift. I did not have as much off piste experience as my husband, but Fabrizio catered very well for both our abilities. Considering that there had not been any fresh snow for 9/10 days, Fabrizio did a brilliant job of finding us some powder in the trees. We had a fantastic day and wouldn’t hesitate to use Fabrizio again.
